Men's Golf: Titans Place Fourth as Host of the Westminster Autumn Classic

NEW CASTLE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team placed fourth out of eight teams as hosts of the Westminster Autumn Classic held Monday at the New Castle Country Club. The Titans shot a 334, winning the tie-breaker with Saint Vincent and finishing 15 strokes behind Mount Aloysius (319), 11 behind Grove City (323), and one behind Pitt-Greensburg (333).

Junior David Paladino (Jefferson Hills, PA / Thomas Jefferson) led the Titans by tying for fifth overall with an 80 (41-39). Senior Andrew Edwards (Aliquippa, PA / Hopewell ) made the top-20 as he tied for 18th with an 84 (42-42).

Rounding out Westminster's top-5 finishers were sophomore Ross Montanti (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland), 85 (41-44), junior Chris Molnar (Easton, PA / Easton), 85 (42-43), and sophomore Dominic Ciraula (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland), 86 (43-43).

Chris Myer from Pitt-Greensburg was the individual medalist with a 73 (37-36).

Westminster is back in action when it travels to South Carolina for its Spring Break trip, starting on March 3.
