Monday, September 24, 2012HUNTINGDON, Pa. - A late goal by Titan freshman Mere Mishler (Johnstown, PA / Bishop McCort) was the eventual game-winner as the Westminster College women's soccer team handed Juniata College its first home loss of the season in a nonconference contest on Monday. The Titans won 1-0. Mishler's goal at the 77:28 mark in the second half was her first collegiate goal of her career. Westminster improved to 4-4-2, while Juniata dropped to 6-2-1.
Westminster senior goalie Jenn Cantella (Freedom, PA/Freedom) collected a game-high seven saves in 90 minutes of work.
For the game, Juniata had a 15-to-6 (12-to-5 in second half) shot advantage.
The Titans return to the field Saturday as they open Presidents' Athletic Conference play at Saint Vincent at 1 p.m.
