WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College volleyball team topped Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Waynesburg College, 3-1, on Tuesday night. The Titans won set one 25-13, lost set two 21-25, won set three 25-18, and won set four 25-14. Westminster improved to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in PAC play, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 3-8 overall and 1-5 in the league.
Freshman Megan Prybyl (Mars, PA / North Catholic) led the Titan offense with 12 kills and three aces. Junior Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) dished out a team-high 36 assists. Also contributing on offense were junior Megan Romocean (Ravenna, OH / Southeast) and junior Rebecca Riemer (Pittsburgh, PA / Mount Lebanon) who earned nine and eight kills, respectively.
On defense juniors Lexi Starheim (Hubbard, OH / Hubbard) and Claire Ferrando (North Jackson, OH / Western Reserve) each had 14 digs.
The Titans will travel to Chatham on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
