For the first time in school history, the Westminster College men's and women's track and field teams won the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship in the same year. This is the men's second straight championship, while the women's fourth overall. The event was hosted by Geneva College last Friday and Saturday.

The Titan men placed first out of nine teams with 180 points and the Titan women won out of eight teams with 188.50 points.

Westminster's fourth-year head coach Tim McNeil was named PAC Men's Track & Field Coach of the Year for his fourth coach of the year award, his second as a men's team coach.

On the women's side, the Lady Titans won seven events led by 2012 PAC Women's Track and Field MVP sophomore Haley Gabor, marking the first ever Titan to win this award. Gabor set stadium records with a first place finish in the 400 meter dash (57.96) and a second finish in pole vault (3.1). Gabor was first in the 200-meter dash (26.11) and was also part of the 4x400-meter relay team who won with a time of 4:09.11.

The Titan men won six events including the PAC title in the 4x100 meter relay with a school record time of 42.62, eclipsing the previous fastest time in team history of 43.31 set in last year's conference championship. The record-breaking team consisted of sophomore Zac Henry, senior Forrest Minteer, junior Adam Carswell, senior J.J. Faltot. Carswell also defended his championship in the 400 meters, breaking his school-record that he set earlier in the year with a stadium-record time of 48.87.

Women's and Men's Golf:

The 2012 PAC Women's & Men's Golf Spring Championship, a 36-hole event scheduled for April 23-24, 2012 at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Belle Vernon, Pa., was cancelled due to poor weather/course conditions. As a result, the 2011-12 PAC golf team titles and postseason award winners were determined exclusively by the 36-hole results of the 2011 PAC Fall Golf Invitational, which took place September 26-27, 2011 at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa.

The Women garnered its third PAC crown and its first since 2005, as the Titans fired a 36-hole fall total of 381-377-758. Westminster head coach Debi Roud has been named 2012 PAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year, her third of her career. Earning All-PAC First Team honors for the Lady Titans was senior Pam Bonneau who tied for fifth with a 183 (91-92). Earning All-PAC Second Team honors by placing in the top-10 for Westminster were freshman Morgan Pierce 186 (94-92), sophomore Jenna Huston 193 (95-98), and junior Becca Shuster (Oil City, PA / Oil City) 196 (101-95).

The men shot a 625 (310-315), good for fourth-place. Earning All-PAC First Team honors for Westminster was senior Dave Mlinarich who shot a 150 (74-76) for fourth-place.
