MEN'S BASKETBALL (5-16, 4-9 PAC)

Westminster split a pair of PAC games last week. On Wednesday, freshman Ben Donlow (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary) paced WC with his fourth career double-double with game-highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds in the Titans' 73-60 win over Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Washington and Jefferson. Westminster never trailed after a 33-29 halftime lead. On Saturday, The Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Game of the Week featuring the Titans at Grove City lived up to the hype as the Wolverines won 80-78 in an exciting finish. After a Grove City missed free throw with five seconds left in the game, Westminster was unable to connect on a potential game-winning three-pointer. Donlow recorded another double-double scoring 24 points (9-for-15), including career-highs of four three-pointers and 15 rebounds.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (7-13, 7-7 PAC)

On Wednesday, down by one at halftime, WC came out of the locker room with a sense of urgency as they produced a 16-4 run in the first 10 minutes of the second half. The Titans stayed ahead the remainder of the game en route to a 62-55 win over Washington & Jefferson. Junior Katie Hughes (Boardman, OH / Cardinal Mooney) led the way for the Titans with 15 points to go along with eight rebounds. The Lady Titans had their three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, following a 65-54 loss to Grove City. Westminster led 31-24 at halftime; however Grove City went on a 13-0 run to start the second half en route to a 65-54 victory. The Titans had a strong scoring balance as eight different players scored with four finishing with nine points each led by junior Katie Hughes with nine points and nine rebounds.

There was a positive in the loss to Grove City on Wednesday with three pool records set by the Titans. Westminster senior Caitlin Lehberger (New Wilmington, PA / Wilmington) set pool records with a first place finish in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke with times of 1:05.70 and 2:21.75, respectively. Lehberger's 200 yard time also marks a NCAA provisional mark. On Saturday in non-conference action, WC topped Mount Union with the women winning 145-117, while the men won 142-116. The Titans won 18 of 28 events (10 for the women and eight for the men). Sophomore Amanda Marlow (Twinsburg, OH / Twinsburg) was the only Titan to score three wins on the day as she was able to touch first in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:17.17, the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.38, and in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:15.47.

On the women's side, senior Marissa Malcolm (Freeport, PA / Freeport) finished second in the pole vault with a 10'4.75" mark. In the shot put event, sophomore Julie Rice (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary) finished fifth with a 29'1.75" mark. The women's 200-meter relay team placed third (1:52.92). The team consisted of senior Mallory Mack (Carnegie, PA / Chartiers Valley), senior Alisha Slater (Wooster, OH / Norwayne), sophomore Haley Gabor (New Kensington, PA / Ford City), and sophomore Kristen Batista (Mineral Ridge, OH / Mineral Ridge).

Junior Mark Saylor (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex), led the men by placing third in the pole vault with a 15'0.25" mark. Senior Josh Bradley (Tyrone, PA / Tyrone) finished third in the shot put with a 34'9.50" mark. In the 500-meter dash senior Justin Jones (Erie, PA / Fort LeBoeuf) and sophomore Kyle Filicky (Poland, OH / Poland Seminary) finished fifth (1:11.85) and sixth (1:12.07), respectively. In the 1000-meter run, freshman K.J. McCrea (Cabot, PA / Knoch) placed sixth with a time of 2:44.15.
