LATROBE, Pa. - In its season-opening day of competition, the Westminster College volleyball team lost two matches on Friday at the Bearcat Challenge, hosted by Saint Vincent.
The Titans lost, 3-0, to Muskingum in game one; all three by close scores (25-23, 25-21, 25-19).
In game two, the Titans went to five sets against Penn. State-Behrend, but lost, 3-2. After losing, 25-12, in set one and, 25-16, in set two, the Titans rallied and won set three, 25-21, and set four, 25-18, however lost the final set, 15-8.
Westminster will play in its final two matches of the Invitational on Saturday when it faces Frostburg at 1 p.m. and Carlow at 3 p.m.
