NEW ORLEANS, La. - Four Titans from the Westminster women's track & field teams were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on its 2013-14 USTFCCCA All-Academic honors list.
Senior sprinter Haley Gabor (New Kensington, Pa./Ford City), sophomore pole vaulter Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, Pa./Waynesburg), freshman pole vaulter Brooke Mancuso (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny), and freshman pole vaulter Cassidy Shepherd (Greensburg, PA / Salem) all earned a spot on the distinguished list. All four also represented Westminster at the Outdoor Track & Field Nationals where Kalsey picked up her fourth-straight All-American honor. Mancuso and Shepherd joined Kalsey for an All-American distinction at Indoor Nationals.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met either of the following athletic standards: Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship and/or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
