NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected women's track & field senior Haley Gabor (New Kensington, PA / Ford City) as its Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of April 28.
Gabor earned the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Track Co-MVP helping the Titans to a second-place finish at the 2014 PAC Outdoor T&F Championships. Gabor won the 200 with a school- and PAC-record time of 25.25. She was also part of 4x400 relay team that won with a school-record time of 4:00.51. Gabor also set a personal best in the 400 (57.48) for second place and another personal best in the 100 (12.71) for second. Gabor's 200 and 400 times both stand 27th in the nation.
The Titan women are currently ranked 25th nationally in the latest polls from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Select members of the Westminster men's and women's track and field teams will compete on Friday at the Grove City Last Chance meet.
