Women's Tennis: Titans Win, 8-1, Against Heidelberg in Final Day of Spring Trip

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 8-1, against Heidelberg in its final day of its Spring Trip on Thursday. The Titans improved to 18-1 overall, while the Student Princes dropped to 2-4.

Westminster swept the doubles competition paced by senior Caitlin Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central) and freshman Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) who won, 8-1, at no. 1. Westminster freshman Sydney Sterner (Imperial, PA / West Allegheny) battled hard at no. 3 singles for a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 victory.

Westminster, the 2013 PAC Champion, earned the PAC's automatic qualifying bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships, which will take place in Claremont, California on May 19-24.
