Women's Tennis: Titans Top Shepherd, 8-1, in S.C.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Westminster College women's tennis team won, 8-1, against Shepherd University in its third game of its Spring Trip on Wednesday. Westminster improved to 17-1 overall, while Shepherd dropped to 7-17.

Westminster won two singles in comeback fashion. Freshman Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) won at no. 1, 6-3, 3-6, 10-3, and classmate Christijana Vucenovic (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) won at no. 6, 2-6, 6-2, 10-7.

Titan senior Caitlin Hosler (Lititz, PA / Manheim Central) won at no. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-0, and partnered with Turiano for an 8-4-win at no. 1 doubles.

Westminster will finish its Spring Trip on Thursday when it faces Heidelberg.
