Women's Track & Field: Westminster SAAC Honors Kalsey as Titan Athlete of the Week

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected women's sophomore pole vaulter Marissa Kalsey (Waynesburg, PA / Waynesburg) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 3.

Kalsey placed second out of 26 competitors with a mark of 4.00 meters at the Midwest SPIRE Institute, breaking her own school record of 3.95 meters that she set at last year's Indoor Nationals. Her new mark is eighth-best on the all-time Division III performers list. Kalsey, who was also selected by the USTFCCCA on the Division III Women's Track and Field National Athlete-of-the-Week Honorable Mention list, stands first in the nation.

A select number of Titans will compete at the Oberlin Invitational on Friday and others will participate in a meet at Mount Union on Saturday.
