KANSAS CITY, Ks. --- The Westminster College women's soccer team was among 593 college women's soccer teams recognized with the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year.
The Titans posted a team GPA of 3.23 under head coach Girish Thakar.
A total of 862 college soccer teams (269 men, 593 women) posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2012-13 academic year. The program runs one school year behind, and this season's (2013-14) honorees will be announced next November. In 2013, Westminster posted an 11-7-2 overall record and a third-place record of 6-1-2 in the PAC. Westminster's 11 wins were the most since 2009. The Titans' victories over Washington & Jefferson and Grove City during the regular season were the first since 2007.
