High Fives are the Top-5 performances by Westminster athletes during the previous week as selected by the Titan Sports Blogger.
#1-Freshman Justin Dahl (Football) kicked a career-long 42-yard field goal as time expired to give the Titan football team a 30-27 win over Geneva on Saturday. Dahl's kick was the second longest in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season, only behind a 43-yarder from Waynesburg. The game took place at Harold Burry Stadium on Senior Day.
#2-Senior Collin Wallace (Football) had a team-high 92 reception yards off five catches and broke a school record with most receptions in a season with 67. Wallace also caught a 54-yard touchdown pass in the season finale against Geneva on Saturday.
#3-Senior Hanna Shaffer (Women's Basketball) had a stellar weekend for the Titans at the North Park/Dominican Classic in Chicago. In a game one loss against North Park, Shaffer had her first career double-double, consisting of 12 points and game- and career-high 11 rebounds. In game two against Dominican, Shaffer recorded her second double-double in a row with 10 points and a game- and career-high 13 rebounds resulting in a Titan victory.
#4-In the Titans' first-ever victory at Wooster on Saturday, freshman Samantha Tower (Women's Swimming & Diving) won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.61) and 200 breaststroke (2:34.60) and swam a leg on the winning 200 free relay (1:42.55). In last Wednesday's home win against W&J, she won the 100 breaststroke (1:10.67) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:53.02). Westminster has run off five-straight wins to start its 2013-14 season.
#5-Junior Nicholas Smith (Men's Swimming & Diving) won five individual events last week to help the Titans remain undefeated at 5-0 on the season. On Wednesday against W&J, he won the 1,000 free (10:22.98), the 200 butterfly (2:01.06) and 100 butterfly (55.44). At Wooster on Saturday, Smith won the 200 butterfly (2:01.63) and the 500 free (5:02.24).
- Senior Dak Britt (Football) ran a game-high 93 yards off a game-high 26 carries and threw for a game-high 271 yards (18-for-37) with 54-yard touchdown.
-Senior Nate Moot (Football) had a game-high 12 tackles on Senior Day against Geneva. In the game, Moot recorded a forced fumble, a sack and an interception.
- Junior Jenny Jones (Women's Cross Country) paced Westminster with a 77th-place finish out of 358 runners at the 2013 NCAA Regionals on Saturday with a time of 23:20. The Titans placed 36th out of 52 teams with 1,102 points.
