Men's Cross Country: Titans Place Fourth at PAC Championship

GIBSONIA, Pa. - The Westminster College men's cross country team placed fourth of out nine schools with 144 points at the 2013 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship on Saturday. The eight-kilometer event took place on the campus of Chatham.

Saint Vincent won with 30 points, while the Bearcats' Chansler Poole placed first overall with a time of 25:15.60.

Titan senior Aaron Sutton (Warren, OH / Howland) claimed PAC Honorable Mention honors as he paced Westminster's top-7 finishers with a 15th place finish with a time of 27:20.10. Freshman Matt Slagle (Bruin, PA / Karns City) finished next for Westminster with a 29th-place finish (28:16.00).

Rounding out the Titan scorers were senior Kyle Filicky (Poland, OH / Poland) (28:20.80), freshman John-Scott Somora (Grove City, PA / Grove City) (28:29.10), sophomore Cody Schreiber (Johnsonburg, PA / Johnsonburg Area) (28:43.10), sophomore KJ McCrea (Cabot, PA / Knoch ) (30:39.50), and freshman Neil Christopher (Pittsburgh, PA / Brentwood) (30:40.00).

Westminster will participate in the 2013 NCAA Cross Country Mideast Regional on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Lehigh University. The event will start at 12:30 p.m.
