GREENVILLE, Pa. - Titan freshman Sammy Creese (Mount Airy, MD / Glenelg) scored her second goal of the season leading the Westminster College women's soccer team to a 1-0 win at Thiel on Wednesday. The Titans improved to 8-5-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference, while the Tomcats dropped to 6-7 overall and 0-4 in the league.
Titan senior Jordan Steele (Falconer, NY / Falconer Central) found Creese for the goal in the 52nd minute. The assist marked Steele's team-leading fifth of the season.
Westminster outshot Thiel 11-4, led by Creese with four shots.
Titan sophomore goalie Rachael Letscher (Canfield, OH / Cardinal Mooney) got the win and improved to 4-1 on the year. Letscher earned one save in a complete-game effort.
Westminster will host Geneva on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
