Men's Cross Country: Titans Compete at Slippery Rock Invitational

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - The Westminster College men's cross country team competed at the Slippery Rock Invitational on Saturday at the Cooper's Lake Campground course. The Titans finished fourth out of five schools with 117 points.

Titan senior Aaron Sutton (Warren, OH / Howland) paced Westminster with a 22nd-place finish in the 8K-meter race with a time of 29:05.46.

Westminster freshman Matt Slagle (Bruin, PA) finished next for the Titans as he clocked in at 29:20.25 for a 24th-place finish. Rounding out the top-five finishers for Westminster were senior Kyle Filicky (Poland, OH / Poland) (28th/29:52.73), freshman John-Scott Somora (Grove City, PA) (32nd/30:16.73), and sophomore Cody Schreiber (Johnsonburg, PA) (42nd/31:21.41).

The Titans will compete at the Inter-Regional Rumble next Saturday in Oberlin, Ohio.
