Volleyball: Titans Blank Grove City in PAC Action

GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College volleyball team won, 3-0, at Grove City on Thursday. The Titans improved to 15-4 overall and 6-3 in the Presidents' Athletics Conference, while the Wolverines dropped to 9-8 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

The shutout marked the 12th straight-set victory for Westminster this season.

Titan senior Rebecca Riemer (Pittsburgh, PA / Mount Lebanon) led the offense with a game- and season-high 12 kills with a game-high .611 hitting percentage (12-18). Seniors Megan Romocean (Ravenna, OH / Southeast), Lexi Starheim (Hubbard, OH / Hubbard), and sophomore Megan Prybyl (Mars, PA / North Catholic) added nine, eight, and seven kills each, respectively.

Senior Claire Ferrando (North Jackson, OH / Western Reserve) led the Titan defense with 14 digs. Classmate Katie Palkovic (Camp Hill, PA / Trinity) added eight digs to go along with 15 assists. Freshman Katie Peters (Moon Township, PA / Moon Area) dished-out a team-high 16 assists. Riemer added two blocks.

Westminster will compete in the Fredonia Invitational this weekend in Fredonia, NY, where the Titans will look to defend their title as tournament champions.
