Women's Tennis: Titans Top PAC Foe, Grove City, 7-2

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College women's tennis team remained undefeated on the season after a 7-2 win versus Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Grove City at home on Tuesday. The Titans improved to 8-0 overall and 7-0 in the PAC. The Wolverines dropped to 3-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

This win extended Westminster's winning-streak to three over Grove City in regular season dual matches.

Freshman Mariah Turiano (Hollidaysburg, PA / Hollidaysburg) came from behind to win at no. 2 singles after being down 6-4 in the first set. Turiano won set two, 6-4, and set three, 7-5.  Classmate Christijana Vucenovic (West Middlesex, PA / West Middlesex) also battled hard at no. 6 singles winning 7-5, 6-1.

Westminster will play its make-up home match with Franciscan (Ohio) on Thursday at 4 p.m.
