NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Titan sophomore Raechel Pusateri's (Volant, PA / Wilmington) goal in the 62nd minute lifted the Westminster College women's soccer team over La Roche Wednesday night by the score of 1-0. The Titans snapped a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-3 overall, while the Redhawks dropped to 2-3 on the season.
Pusateri's goal, her second on the year, was set up by senior Maggie Nikituk (Pittsburgh, PA / North Allegheny) who placed a well-executed cross in the box.
For the game, Westminster out-shot La Roche 11-5.
Titan sophomore goalie Maddy Frech (Leechburg, PA / Kiski Area ) earned the shutout-win and improved to 3-3 on the season, while gathering four saves.
Westminster is back on the field Saturday when they host Buffalo State at 2 p.m.
