Women's Cross Country: Jones Places Second, Titans Third at Waynesburg Invitational

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Westminster College women's cross country team placed third at the Waynesburg Invitational on Saturday. Titan junior Jenny Jones (Erie, PA / Fort LeBoeuf) paced Westminster in the 6K race with a second-place finish with a time of 23:46.7, only 35 seconds off a school record.  

Senior Erin Sullivan (Aurora, OH / Aurora) was next to finish for Westminster who crossed the finish line in 16th (26:36.5). Also finishing in the top-20 for the Titans was junior Kristine Haggerty (Pittsburgh, PA / Thomas Jefferson) (17th/26:45.9), freshman Keilah Ireland (Nashua, NH) (19th/26:51.3), and freshman Jenny Rodgers (State College, PA / State College) (20th/ 26:53.1).

Westminster will take next weekend off and will return to the course on Sept. 28 when they compete at Chatham.
