Volleyball Announces 2013 Fall Schedule

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College volleyball team announced its 2013 fall schedule today, a 33-match slate that will feature a home tournament and 12 total matches played at Buzz Ridl Gymnasium.

The Titans will open their season by hosting the Westminster College "Volley Against Violence" Tournament on Aug. 30 and 31. The six-team tournament will feature a round robin opening round with each team playing four matches apiece. The following weekend, the Titans travel to Baldwin Wallace University for the Baldwin Wallace Invitational Tournament on Sept. 6 and 7. The Titans' third tournament will be at Fredonia State University for the Fredonia Invitational Tournament on Oct. 4 and 5, where Westminster will look to defend its tournament title from last year.

The Titans will open President's Athletic Conference play on Sept. 14 with a Tri-Match with Saint Vincent and Thomas More, held at Saint Vincent College. The Titans home schedule will consist of a Tri-Match with Chatham and Geneva (Sept. 24), Bethany (Oct. 1), W&J (Oct. 15), a second Tri-Match featuring Grove City and Franciscan (Oct. 17), and Thiel (Oct. 23). Rounding out the Titans' home schedule will be a PAC game against Saint Vincent on Oct. 29, which will serve as Senior Night.

The remainder of the Titans' schedule is made up of away matches against Chatham (Sept. 18), Allegheny (Sept. 21), W&J (Sept. 26), Grove City (Oct. 3), Bethany (Oct. 9), Thiel (Oct. 12), Geneva (Oct. 26), and the regular season finale at Thomas More on Nov. 2.

The PAC Championship Tournament is set to begin November 5 with a Play-in Match, that will lead into a weekend tournament (Nov. 8-9).
