GROVE CITY, Pa. - The Westminster College women's golf team participated in the Grove City College Invitational on Saturday at the Grove City Country Club. The event was shortened to nine holes due to inclement weather. No true team standings or individual awards were given out due to shortened competition.
Junior Rachel Sherman (North East, PA / North East) and sophomore Morgan Pierce (Fredonia, PA / Reynolds) tied for second place at the event, each recording a score of 50 to lead the Titans.
Freshman Carly Boughner (Cooperstown, PA / Rocky Grove) shot a 53, while junior Jenna Huston (Beaver Falls, PA / Blackhawk) recorded a score of 54. Rounding out the top five scorers for the Titans on the day was sophomore Jordan McGee (Punxsutawney, PA / Punxsutawney), who posted a score of 57.
Grove City sophomore Esther Durling paced all competitors at the event with a score of 45.
The Titans return to action in the PAC Championships in Belle Vernon, Pa. on April 22.
