Men's Golf: Titans place 4th/8 at Doug Rogers Memorial Tournament

LATROBE, Pa. - The Westminster College men's golf team placed fourth out of eight teams at the third annual Doug Rogers Memorial Tournament hosted by Saint Vincent College. The Titans shot a 345 as a team, while the host Saint Vincent Bearcats won the event with a score of 315.

The Bearcats were paced by junior Derek Lingafelt, who placed first overall at the event, shooting a 76 on the day.

Sophomore Ross Montanti (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) led the Titans with a score of 83, tying him for twelfth place at the event. Also placing in the top 20 for the Titans were sophomore Dominic Ciraula (Wexford, PA / Pine-Richland) and junior David Paladino (Jefferson Hills, PA / Thomas Jefferson). Ciraula tied for seventeenth place with a score of 86, while Paladino tied for nineteenth shooting an 87 on the day.

Rounding out the top five scores for the Titans were juniors Ryan Avril (Jamestown, PA / Jamestown) and Trevor Crogan (Canfield, OH / Canfield). Both Avril and Crogan shot scores of 89 respectively.

Westminster returns to action at the Greenville Invitational on April 20.
