NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) today selected men's swimming sophomore Steven Brooks (Boardman, OH / Boardman) as its SAAC Titan Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 18.
Brooks led the men's team to their first Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship since 2007, while being named PAC men's swimmer of the year. Brooks was part of three record-breaking performances at the PACs. Brooks was part of the men's 200 yard medley relay team that won with an NCAA provisional and school-record time of 1:33.08, as well as the men's 400 yard medley relay team that won with a provisional NCAA, pool-, conference-, and school-record time of 3:23.90. He also broke the school-record in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 50.80.
