Westminster Women Tied for Lead in 2011-12 PAC All-Sports Trophy

WEXFORD, Pa. - The Westminster and Grove City Colleges women are tied in first place for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) All-Sports Trophy through the 2011-12 winter sports season.

The all-sports trophies are awarded annually to the schools which perform the best across the board in league competition. First-place finishes are worth 10 points (nine for men), second place is worth nine points (eight for men), and last place is worth one point.

The recent 2012 PAC Swimming & Diving Championships propelled the women of Westminster and Grove City to the top of the list with 44 points each.

Westminster College placed in these sports earning the following points: Volleyball (6), Soccer (6), Cross Country (8), Tennis (9), Basketball (6), and Swimming/Diving (9), totaling 44 Points.

The Westminster College men have 21 points placing them in eighth place in the All-Sports Trophy rankings, and are only 11.5 points away from the leader.
