Intramurals

Westminster College offers the college community the opportunity to participate in a variety of recreational activities. These activities allow participants to grow and take what they have learned and continue it throughout life. Your participation in intramural sports allows you to develop the essential qualities of leadership, cooperation, self-reliance and the sense of fair play.

 

Location


The Intramural Office is located in the Field house. There is an Intramural board located in the main lobby of the field house. The intramural coordinator can be contacted at: 946-7316 (Off Campus) or x7316 (On Campus). Students, staff, or faculty with questions or suggestions should feel free to contact the intramural office.

 

Eligibility


Westminster College intramural activities are open to all undergraduates, graduates, faculty and staff.

 

Varsity Athlete


If an activity is run during the athlete's off-season a varsity member may participate in intramural activities in their own sport. Only one current varsity athlete may participate in a sport that has less then three players per team (3 on 3 basketball). Only three current varsity athletes may participate in a sport that has five or more players per team. (Softball). Cross Country and track runners are eligible to participate in run-for-fun, but are not eligible for the awards.

 

How to get Involved:


Pick up an official roster for your team or event that you would like to take part in. The intramural form's can be picked up from the intramural office, the intramural notice board in the field house. Registration material for Darts, Billiards, Ping-Pong and Midnight Bowling Tournaments can be obtained at the Office of Student Affairs, 109 Old Main during normal working hours, M-F. Fill out the information and return to the intramural office on or before the deadline date.
