Lifelong Learning Program (LLP)


The Lifelong Learning Program is an undergraduate degree program designed for the adult learner. Lifelong Learning courses and majors are the same as those in the  traditional Westminster College undergraduate curriculum and are taught by Westminster faculty members. Some evening courses are scheduled one night a week per class to accommodate those individuals who work from during the day. Additionally all courses taught during the day are available for LLP students.. Anyone 24 years of age or older (and has not lived on any campus for the past nine months) who has a high school diploma or GED and wishes to pursue a college degree may apply for entrance consideration by completing a Lifelong Learning application. Continuing Education


Non-credit classes at Westminster College can be taken through the Continuing Education program. These classes and workshops are available in fields such as personal enrichment, professional development, and computers. Schedules are published for Fall, Spring and Summer classes. High School Dual Enrollment


High school students interested in taking classes beyond those offered at the local high school, may apply for dual enrollment through this office. Applications, program requirements and tuition amount are also available from your high school guidance office.

Elizabeth Hines, Director

A graduate of Westminster, Mrs. Hines has served at Westminster College as Associate Director of Admissions, College Registrar, Major Gifts Officer, Director of the Westminster Fund, and Director of Alumni Planning and Programming before moving to Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning.  Central to her work at the College is a passion and commitment to furthering Westminster's mission of developing learners and citizens who will make a positive difference in the world.  For more information about any of these programs, please contact her by email.


Lori Scheidemantle, Secretary

Ms. Scheidemantle joined the Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning office in March 2001. Lori was previously employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 15 years in the Underwriting Department. Debra Avila, Secretary

Ms. Avila joined the staff of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning in September, 2008.  Deb bie resides in New Wilmington with her husband , Mick and three children, Jake, Megan and Evi.  A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, she was previously employed with Headstart as a Family Service worker.   You can reach her by e-mail.
