Adult Undergraduate Degrees in the Lifelong Learning Program (LLP)



Lifelong Learning
The Lifelong Learning Program is an undergraduate degree program designed for the adult learner.The program features the same courses and majors as those in the traditional Westminster College undergraduate curriculum, taught by Westminster faculty members. In addition the daytime class schedule, some courses are scheduled on an accelerated basis one night a week per class to accommodate individuals who unable to take classes during the day. Anyone 23 years of age or older (and has not lived on any campus for the past nine months) who has a high school diploma or GED and wishes to pursue a college degree may apply for entrance consideration by completing a Lifelong Learning application. The Graduate Program offers the Master of Education degree. The program provides studies for professional enhancement for teachers and opportunities for certification as counselors, principals, superintendents and reading specialists.

Post-Baccalaureate Certifications



Post-Baccalaureate Certifications
Westminster's Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification is a program designed for students who hold a baccalaureate degree and wish to becomecertified teachers in Pennsylvania. Certifcation is offered in Pre-K-4 early childhood/Prek-8 Special Education as well as in Secondary Education in 10 academic subject areas.

High School Dual Enrollment
High school students interested in taking classes beyond those offered at the local high school may apply for dual enrollment through this office. Applications, program requirements and tuition fees are also available from your high school guidance office.

Continuing Education



Continuing Education
Non-credit classes at Westminster College can be taken through the Continuing Education program. These classes and workshops are available in fields such as personal enrichment, professional development, and computers. Schedules are published for Fall, Spring and Summer classes. Elizabeth Hines, Director

Mrs. Hines is a graduate of Westminster, earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees there. Central to her work at the College is a passion and commitment to furthering Westminster's mission of developing learners and citizens who will make a positive difference in the world.  For more information about any of these programs, please contact her by email.


Lori Scheidemantle, Secretary

Ms. Scheidemantle joined the Adult & Graduate Studies Office in March 2001. Lori was previously employed at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for 15 years in the Underwriting Department. Lori resides in Neshannock Township with her husband, Bryan and their children, Bryan, Brandon and Madison. You may contact Lori via email.


Jackie Hall , Secretary

Ms. Hall joined the Adult & Graduate Studies Office in 2011.  She also enjoys teaching evening Continuing Education computer skill classes: Intro, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as glass painting classes.  Active in her church, she sings in a Praise Band and has 2 children:  Robert, a security guard for a local company, and Autumn, who graduated as an environmental biologist with a substainability minor and is now working at Microbac Laboratories in Cranberry.
