Post-Baccalaureate Certification in PreK- 4 Early Childhood/PreK- 8 Special Education


The Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program is designed for a candidate who currently has a bachelor's degree and would like to be certified to teach. The undergraduate degree does not need to be in education.

Admission into this certification program is based upon a careful review of the following by the Adult & Graduate Studies Director and a representative from Westminster's Education Department:
  1. 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate degree program
  2. essay explaining why you want to teach
  3. two letters of reference addressing candidate's potential as a teacher
  4. official transcripts from all previous schools attended
  5. an interview with the Director of Adult & Graduate Studies and Program Coordinator of Education

Admission will be considered when the application and a $35 non refundable application fee and all required documents are received by the Adult & Graduate Studies Office.

Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Secondary Education is designed for a candidate who currently has an undergraduate degree and would like to be certified to teach in the 7-12 classroom. The undergraduate degree does not need to be in the desired certification field.

Admission into this certification program is based upon a careful review of the following by the Adult & Graduate Studies Director and a representative from Westminster's Education Department:
  1. 3.0 GPA in the undergraduate degree program
  2. letter of intent addressed to the Chair of the Department of Education
  3. two letters of reference addressing candidate's potential as a teacher
  4. official transcripts from all previous schools attended
  5. an interview the Director of Adult & Graduate Studies and Program Coordinator of Education

Admission will be considered when the application and a $35 non refundable application fee and all required documents are received by the Adult & Graduate Studies Office.
