Housed in Westminster’s School of Business, the Sports Management Major is one of the newest additions to campus. The new major offers a variety of courses that will teach students to reason logically, evaluate critically, apply knowledge to contemporary issues, and communicate effectively.
Its curriculum is designed to give students a theoretical perspective on how sports organizations are administered. Blending courses in public relations, communications, and business, the curriculum addresses everything from organizational structure and management to communication within sports organizations. The athletic department will couple with the curriculum, delivering an experiential component and facilitating hands-on experiences in the sporting industry on a regular basis.
