The Tiny House at Westminster was built by a group of students and faculty to integrate sustainable living education with a multitude of majors and learning experiences. Students in the “Introduction to Sculpture” course had the opportunity to build sculptures inspired by the Tiny House and had a public viewing to showcase their work on Friday, May 4.

Westminster’s Foster Art Gallery is the third stop of the “Crowns” touring art exhibition featuring the work of eight ceramic artists. From April 3 to May 4, eight different artists’ pottery, sculptures and mixed-media works that reflect on the experiences of motherhood will be available for viewing.

Art is a form of communication, enabling us to understand one another and empathize in a way that makes us all human. Senior fine art major Marcella Sinclair explored this avenue of her art by painting a series of 22 pieces for her capstone that showcased people who have impacted her life.

Four Westminster College senior art students are presenting select work from their portfolios beginning Feb. 13 and lasting through March 24 in Patterson Hall's Foster Art Gallery. An open reception will be held Feb. 20 from 4:30 - 6 p.m. At the reception, each artist will speak about their work and open the floor for additional questions.

Westminster College’s Foster Art Gallery will host “Confluence: An Exhibition of Sculpture and Painting,” an art exhibition featuring sculptures and paintings by Tony Armeni, Dan Newman and Tracy Segreti of Youngstown, Ohio. The exhibit runs from Jan. 15-Feb. 9. Armeni and Segreti will present artist lectures in the gallery Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m.

Like many Westminster seniors, fine arts major Stephanie Dorsch is putting the final touches on her capstone project. Drawing inspiration from studying abroad in Costa Rica and Spain, her love of psychology and nature, Stephanie’s artwork was created to communicate what she describes as the common human experience.

Westminster College’s Foster Art Gallery will host Hot-n-Ready: A Print Portfolio Exchange, an art exhibition organized by artists Nathan Pietrykowski and Robyn Wall. The exhibit runs from Oct. 23-Dec. 8., and there will be a gallery reception on Thursday, Nov. 2 beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Summer Zickefoose, fine art faculty member at Westminster College, has work showing in three exhibitions this Fall. Zickefoose has a sculpture in the 'Both Artist and Mother' exhbit at the Loft Gallery at Red Lodge Clay Center in Red Lodge Montana; a sculpture in the 11th Annual HWD juried sculpture exhibition at the Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Ohio—for which Zickefoose won the juror's choice award; and she is part of a four-person show, 'Remains', at the Philadelphia Art Alliance in Downtown Philadelphia.

Westminster College’s Foster Art Gallery will host A Machine For Living In, a digital media art installation by Robert Twomey. The exhibition will run Aug 28 – Oct 13. There will be a gallery reception on Tuesday, Sept 12 from 4:30-6 p.m., with an artist talk at 5:15 p.m. The Foster Art Gallery is located in Patterson Hall on Westminster College’s campus. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
