  • Same Sex Marriage

America’s greatness and stability resides upon a strong family unit, which is founded by a marriage between one man and one woman.  Recently, several states have deviated from this definition to include same sex marriage, a dangerous development that puts our nation in jeopardy.  The GOP respects the rights and liberties of all people; however, altering the historic meaning of marriage threatens the fabric of American society.  Therefore, the GOP calls for a constitutional amendment that defines marriage as between one man and one woman.  Only then can America safeguard its core values and defend the true definition of marriage.

  • The War in Afghanistan

America’s goal of removing the Taliban, combating global terrorism, and creating a democratic Republic of Afghanistan has been met with success.  This success is a direct result of hard work from our men and women in the armed forces and intelligence communities.  Certain difficulties, however, remain to be addressed and threaten the gains made.  By abandoning our Afghan allies now, all these gains and the human and economic cost of the war will have been made in vain.  America must stay the course and accomplish the mission we set out for ourselves with no time constraints.  Furthermore, any attempt to bring the troops home before the job is done goes against the wishes of the generals on the ground.  Let’s not allow politics to fight a war, but the military brass who have dedicated their lives to becoming experts in warfare.  Only by listening to our nation’s bravest and brightest warriors, and not the politicians, will America ensure a free and democratic Republic of Afghanistan and enduring freedom throughout the world.

America must stay the course and accomplish the mission we set out for ourselves with no time constraints.

    DEBT REDUCTION

The United States economic strength has recently come into question as a result of the unprecedented high debt the government has developed. The cultivation of this massive debt can be traced back over decades of increased governmental bureaucracy, and frivolous creation of entitlement programs. The reduction of government debt has a simple remedy; stop spending monies the government does not have. Therefore, wasteful entitlement programs like social security and Medicaid need to be privatized, or thoroughly pruned of spendthrift tendencies. Furthermore, unnecessary bureaucratic layers, such as the Environmental Protection Agency, must be removed and more efficient practices be implemented.  The difficult but necessary reduction of entitlement programs, as well as imposed efficiency in government, will improve the likelihood of producing a balanced budget, and mitigation of debt.

In order to reduce government debt programs like social security and Medicaid must be privatized, and unnecessary government bureaucratic layers, such as the Environmental Protection Agency, must to be eliminated.

    JOB CREATION

The GOP firmly believes the American capitalistic free market has, and will continue to be one of the pillars of our countries greatness. When the US economic marketplace is constrained by government intervention and regulations, Americans lose employment opportunities they deserve.  To promote job creation in our great country, it is vital for the government to limit the taxation of small businesses. Removing the tax burden from American small business owners will allow them to hire more hard working Americans. Moreover, to bring US jobs back home from abroad, it is critical to reduce the restrictions placed on American businesses. Limiting the ability of companies that have historically served as part of the economic back bone of America, can no longer be a policy of the US government. Lower taxes and removing restrictions on American Businesses will alleviate the American people from their current economic hardships with the certain creation of jobs.

To create jobs for hard working Americans, the payroll tax on small and large businesses must be eliminated, in addition to the relaxation of environmental restrictions on industry.
