Mathematics Lecturer Attends Technologies in Education Conference

James Anthony, Westminster College lecturer of mathematics, attended the Technologies in Education Conference May 16-17, 2013, at the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY.

Topics covered at the conference included: digital storytelling on the iPad, mobile scavenger hunts, screencasting for teaching, apps used in education, learning tools, design and utilization of Google forms, personalization of instruction and the creation of rich, interactive content, Smart Board technology, response systems, and an iPad presentation system.

Anthony, who has been with Westminster since 2009, earned an undergraduate degree in secondary education, mathematics with specialization in computer science, from Lock Haven University and a master's in mathematics from Pennsylvania State University.
