Milagros Z. Swerdlow

Milagros Z. Swerdlow holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching Language from the University of Southern Mississippi. A native of Perú, one of her primary research interests is second language acquisition theory, especially as it relates to language instruction at the university level. She teaches beginning and intermediate Spanish. Milagros also coordinates Language in Motion at Westminster College, an outreach program that gives upper level language students and study abroad returnees the opportunity to share their knowledge of language and culture with K-12 students.

Milagros is an active member of the New Wilmington community, often sharing her experiences as an immigrant and a traveler with students in the area schools, as well as with other community groups.
