Minor in Cultural Studies

A cultural studies minor is different from a traditional language minor in that it places increased emphasis on cultural theory. Students may not minor in cultural studies while pursuing a major or minor in modern languages.

In order to complete a cultural studies minor, students are required to take a minimum of 24 semester hours which include: four courses in the same language (French or Spanish) selected from those numbered 201, 202, 301, 302, 303, 351 or 352 and two of the following courses Intercultural Communication (IC) 101, 102, or Language 601.
