The Year (2005-06) in Review
- Undergraduate Research Initiative funded 8 students in presenting research at regional, national and international conferences. Additional students attended regional and national conferences in their major disciplines.
- Peter Um, the first student to receive a grant for Undergraduate Research from the Drinko Center, won first prize for best academic poster presentation at the Internatiional RNAi conference in Boston, May 2006.
- Four additional students received funding for the conduction of undergraduate research. One student is studying Native Americans in New York State, another student conducted interviews in Israel on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and Biology and Chemistry students are expanding their work in the lab.

- Service Learning Faculty Fellows Seminars, Academic Year 2006-07
- Additionally, more than 20 faculty and staff and 10 undergraduate students participated in coordinating and conducting programs for K-12 students and teachers this summer.
