Titan Terror Project Winners Revealed

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- The top prize for this year's Titan Terror Project includes a team of four friends from Westminster who staged their scary story around what happens when the power goes out.  "Power's Out" won both the Grand Prize and the Audience Choice Award.  The short digital film was produced by Rob Poling, Scott Railey, Eddie Enos & Andrew Wright.

    "When the power goes out in a Westminster town house, it's up to 4 friends to make sense of things. But when they start hearing noises, and other strange things start happening, it really starts to get serious."


The team behind "Power's Out" received over $528 worth of prizes for the Grand Prize Award and another $200 in prizes as the audience choice winner. WCN's Harry Greene interviewed the the team of Westminster pals on the Titan Terror Red Carpet following the award presentation.

The Runner-up Award went to Pictures, by Daniel Trotter, and the Bearsharktopus Production team from nearby Grove City High School.  The entry was one of a number submitted from students enrolled in an advanced video production class at the school.  This team received nearly $300 in prizes.

    The Titan Terror Project Showcase and Award Ceremony took place Tuesday afternoon in Mueller Theater in the McKelvey Campus Center on the Westminster College campus, where the top 10 entries were viewed for the first time and the Grand Prize, Runner Up and Audience Choice winners were recognized and rewarded. This event was free and open to the public. More than 100 people attended the showcase.



    Pizza was provided courtesy of Sodexo, and a number of free door prizes were handed out to audience members.


    Entries were judged by two rounds of qualified judges on creativity, accordance with the Titan Terror Project theme to make a scary movie without the use of violence or gore, development of story, and production value.

  •     You can view all of the top 10 entries, including the award winners at the Westminster AV Facebook page. Visitors are encouraged to click "LIKE" for the selection they believe deserves to win the Facebook Fan Favorite prize. Voting will continue through Halloween night, with the winner earning a $25 gift certificate from the The Crane Room Grille .
