NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.-- Several decades ago Westminster's "Victory Bell" fell silent and remained hidden in Old Main's Tower. The bell was a feature in the school's somewhat forgotten football tradition as the Titans would ring it after every victory. Now campus officials plan to ressurect that tradition.
The original Victory Bell will be removed and refurbished this spring and relocated to a new bell tower to be erected this summer on the plaza of the Field House. The bell will be electronically rung at the conclusion of every Titan athletic victory to reestablish an old Westminster tradition. This project was conceived and funded by the family of Paul Musser in memory of Becky Musser '73.
Check out our podcast interview between WCN's Dan Swank and Ahtletic Director Jim Daffler and learn the details of what's in store for a silent Westminster icon.
You can also see what happens when Dom Ciraula and Harry Greene discover when they appropriate part of the podcast and go in search of the Victory Bell.
