UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- State police say they arrested a Lawrence County man for allegedly putting a handgun to a plow truck driver's head while telling him to remove the snow that had pushed into his yard.
Troopers say they arrested 64-year old Richard Eckert of Union Township Monday. No one was hurt.
According to police, a plow truck operator was clearing the driveway of Eckert's neighbor when he accidently pushed some of the snow into Eckert's yard. Troopers allege Eckert became angry and approached the plow operator with a loaded pistol while threatening to shoot him if he did not get the snow out of his yard.
Eckert faces gun assault charges and was released from custody on $10,000 bond.
He faces charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and recklessly endangering another person.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 19.
