Hermitage winery wins medals at the PA Farm Show

Thursday, January 9, 2014

HARRISBURG-- It's more than livestock and crops at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.   Pennsylvania's winemakers competed with their best wines in Harrisburg this week.  Among the winners was Webb Winery of Hermitage in Mercer County.

Webb Winery received a Silver medal for their Vidal Blanc and a Bronze medal for their Fredonia wines.

Wines were judged prior to the show by Rutgers University staff in New Jersey, ensuring impartial evaluation by judges not associated with Pennsylvania's wine industry.

Webb Winery's awards were presented just as the Hermitage establishment is gearing up for its now annual "Wine & Chocolate" event coming in February.  The event will take place February 6-8 and 15-15.
