While the beautiful town of New Wilmington is a tourist destination (people love to see Amish horse and buggies, quaint shops, and farms being plowed by great Belgian horses), we understand you may want to move at a faster pace.
Prime Outlets, one of the nation's largest shopping plazas featuring hundreds of shops, including all the designer names you wear, is only 10 miles away. Many of our students work at Prime Outlets during the evenings or on weekends. New Wilmington is also only minutes from New Castle and about a half hour from Boardman and Youngstown, Ohio.
If you want metropolitan culture, Pittsburgh is just an hour south and Cleveland and Erie are less than 100 miles away. In recent years, the Student Government Association has sponsored trips to nearby cities for all kinds of events. From Pittsburgh Ballet Theater's performance of Nutcracker and Toronto's Phantom of the Opera to Pittsburgh Penguin hockey and Cleveland Indian baseball, or from Pittsburgh's wrap-around Omnimax Theatre and Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to tours of Pittsburgh's architectural highlights -- we have trips to tempt every imaginable taste.
