Westminster School of Business hosts PICPA Accounting Career Day

NEW WILMINGTON, PA – The Westminster College School of Business welcomed several high school students to campus on Thursday, Nov. 8, for the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Accounting Career Day.

Accounting professors, alumni and students held sessions for 50 students and teachers from Blackhawk, Seneca Valley and Carlynton high schools to promote interest in accounting and business careers.

Featured speakers included Sean Gibbon '16, a CPA with JFS Wealth Management; Alicia Seitz '11, a CPA with HBK; Maria De La Cueva from the FBI; and Jessica Phillips from MPB.

Westminster’s student panel included seniors Cody Acon, A.J. Bove, William Madeja, Olivia Sauserman, and Alexis Shingleton. Professors and CPAs Keith Bittel, John Geidner and Jesse Ligo welcomed School of Business Chair Dr. Robert Badowski, PICPA representative Sara Albert and Westminster Admissions Counselor Andria Alessio.
