Westminster hosts Veterans Day program

NEW WILMINGTON, PA – Westminster College will host a special Veterans Day program at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in Orr Auditorium.

The Rev. William H. Newton III will present the keynote address, “A Truth Society Seems to Have Forgotten and Every Veteran Alive Knows is True—Integrity Matters.” Newton, a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, flew 250 combat missions during the Vietnam War. He has five Distinguished Flying Crosses.

The Wilmington Area High School Band and the Wilmington Area High School Chamber Singers will perform during the ceremony.

The Veterans Day program is sponsored by Central Heating and Plumbing Company, the Wilmington Area School District and Westminster College.

The event is free and open to the public.
