LATROBE, Pa. – The Westminster College football team won, 31-14, at Saint Vincent College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday afternoon.

Westminster (2-1, 2-0 PAC) led 24-0 with two minutes left in the third quarter. Saint Vincent (0-3, 0-2 PAC) scored all 14 points in the fourth quarter.

Titan junior Paul Gonzalez (Miami, FL / Florida Christian), the PAC Defensive Player of the Week, started the Westminster scoring as he returned a fumble 35 yards for a touchdown with 9:40 to play in the first quarter.

The Titans added two more scores in the second quarter, one set up by a Titan defensive play, the other by Westminster's special teams. The first was set up by senior Travis Lauster (Prospect, PA / Slippery Rock) with an interception. The Titans then orchestrated a 13-play, 79-yard drive that ate up seven minutes and was capped off with a 17-yard touchdown pass from junior Augustus Necastro(Brookfield, OH / Brookfield) to classmate Joey Joy (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) at the 4:52 mark for Joy's first career touchdown. Westminster's third touchdown of the half was set up by a blocked punt and recovery by junior Keano Grice (Delray Beach, FL / West Boca Raton) at Saint Vincent's 18-yard line. With just under a minute to play, Titan junior Tyler Greene (Carlisle, PA / Carlisle) ran it in from six yards out for the first touchdown of his career. Sophomore John Cybak (Massillon, OH / Tuslaw) was successful on all three extra points and Westminster led comfortably, 21-0, at halftime.

Cybak extended Westminster's lead to 24-0 after converting on his first field goal of the year, capping off a 14-play, 73-yard drive and taking off almost six minutes from the clock.

The Bearcats finally got on the board during their first drive of the fourth quarter after Zavion Thompson found Keith Kalp through the air for a 24-yard score with 12:31 left to play.

Senior Shamon Walker (Pittsburgh, PA / Milton Hershey) added to the Titans' lead with a three-yard run later in the fourth. Thompson, on Saint Vincent's next possession, completed a six-yard touchdown pass to Ariel Martinez in the final seconds.

The Titans outgained the Bearcats, 341 (175 rushing, 166 passing) to 177 (24 rushing, 153 passing). Westminster converted 20 first downs, to Saint Vincent's 10.
