The Tiny House at Westminster was built by a group of students and faculty to integrate sustainable living education with a multitude of majors and learning experiences. Students in the “Introduction to Sculpture” course had the opportunity to build sculptures inspired by the Tiny House and had a public viewing to showcase their work on Friday, May 4

Students worked with a variety of sculptural materials and techniques to create pieces designed specifically for the Tiny House.

Assistant professor of art Summer Zickefoose led the course, teaching students to use sculpture as a three-dimensional platform for creative expression. As part of their final project, the students explored the physical, spatial and thematic properties of sculpture.
