Weekend Music Performances

Westminster College's School of Music will present “Voices from Within VI - A Student Composers' Concert” on Thursday, April 26 at 8 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open for the public to attend.

The concert will feature world premieres by senior music education major Allison Clutter, junior music education major Shannon Herdman, senior English major Taylor Hertzler, senior music education major Michael Kahle, junior music education major Maura Kardasz, Nathaniel Fleming and junior music education major Patrick Raymond.

The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will perform the classic “Star Wars Suite” by J. Williams at their spring concert on Friday, April 27, in Orr Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The piece includes themes from the original trilogy including "Main Title," "Princess Leia's Theme," "Imperial March," "Yoda's Theme," "Throne Room," and "End Title."

Senior music education major Ashleigh Nealer and senior music performance major Samantha Connell will be featured during the concert.

The Westminster College Jazz Ensemble's annual Spring concert will be Sunday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. in Berlin Lounge. The ensemble will be joined the Beaver Local (OH) High School Jazz Band, led by Westminster College alumnus Matt Newman.

The Westminster College Jazz Ensemble is comprised of talented student musicians from a wide variety of majors throughout the college. They will perform a varied program of music by composers such as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Hoagy Carmichael, Sammy Nestico, Cole Porter, and Pat Metheny, among others.
