As the season for spring sports approaches, Westminster College awaits the debut of new head baseball coach Kelly Swiney. On March 16 at Brew 32 (located 1474 PA-208, Pulaski, PA 16143) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Swiney will share his new vision for the baseball team at a free meet and greet event open to the public.

Swiney, director of athletics Jim Dafler and vice president for institutional advancement Matt Stinson will speak on the upcoming season and the future of Westminster College baseball.

"I'm looking forward to meeting and working with the current team and incoming freshmen," Swiney said in an interview with the athletic department. "I expect to build a program that will consistently compete for PAC championships and rise to be one of the best in the region and nation. My players will work hard in the classroom, on the field, and in the community to positively represent Westminster College."

Before coming to Westminster, Swiney was the head baseball coach at Allegheny College for nine seasons. Swiney led his team a trip to the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship in 2013 and earned his 200th career win at Allegheny. He became the fourth coach in 130 years to reach the milestone.

Attendees are asked to register by March 9 and can do so here. Hors d’oeurves will be provided, and a cash bar will be available.
