Westminster College Education Professor Published

Dr. Alison DuBois, assistant professor of education and counseling, published articles in two different professional journals this month.

Her first article, “Four Steps to Help with the Hurt that You Feel,” was published in the fall issue of New Teacher Advocate. This article outlines steps young teachers can take to protect themselves or to reduce the effects of secondary trauma.

The second article, “Curriculum Weaving: Developing Creative Curricular Opportunities for Pre-Service Teachers and Elementary Students Through Project-Based Learning,” was published in the November issue of The Journal of Curriculum and Teaching. This article describes a year-long project-based learning activity that early childhood and special education students engaged in last year.
