Dr. Jamie Chapman, Westminster College assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice studies, was selected to receive the American Sociology Association’s SAGE Teaching innovations and Professional Development Award.

Chapman received this award, presented in Seattle, for demonstrating her commitment to ongoing teaching and learning in sociology.

While there, she also took part in a full day pre-conference workshop, “The Relevant Syllabus.”

Chapman is the third sociologist in Westminster College history to receive this award, the most recent being Dr. Kristenne Robinson, program coordinator for sociology and criminal justice studies, in 2011.
