In April, Emily Clark, Emma Lawson, Megan Prybyl, and Samantha Zeigler were inducted into Westminster College’s Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honorary Society.

Abby Kutz, vice president, and Nicole Omeis, treasurer, presided over the ceremony.

Pi Delta Phi is the National French Honorary Society founded in 1906 at the University of California, Berkeley. Westminster College’s chapter, Delta Rho, was established in 1965.  The goal of Pi Delta Phi is to recognize student accomplishments in the study of French language, literature, and culture, and to encourage the knowledge of French culture in the United States.

An average of four students are inducted to Pi Delta Phi each year. Students are invited to join based on academic achievement, having completed at least two 300-level French courses, attained an overall 3.0 GPA, and have a 3.0 GPA in French courses.
